Since the creation of the center, the main tasks of the center have been to create the network's regulatory and legislative framework harmonized with international documents, to conduct scientific research activities on the priority areas of development and introduction of new telecommunication technologies. In 1994-1996 ITM took an active part in the reconstruction of telecommunication networks in the cities of Fergana, Syrdarya, Andijan, Bukhara and Tashkent regions. in 1995 The Telecommunications Technical Equipment Certification Body was established under the Center, and then in 1996, the Certification Testing Center (SSM) was established, both of which were accredited by the Uzstandart Agency. in 1997 ITM is registered in Uzstandart Agency as the base organization for standardization of the industry and as the base metrology service. In august 1997 in connection with the changes in the field of communication and the renaming of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Postal and Telecommunications Agency of Uzbekistan, ITM was renamed as the Center for Science, Technology and Marketing Research (FTMTM), with new tasks assigned to it. in 1998 The publication of the network bulletin "Akhborotnoma" has begun. in 1998 FTMTM was designated as the main organization for the creation and application of the quality system in the industry based on ISO international standards of the 9000 series. in 1999 The Law "On Telecommunications" developed by the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of FTMTM was adopted. in 2001 According to the grant allocated by the French state, the first experimental wind-solar device with a capacity of 5 kilowatts was built at the "Chorvoq" RTS. from 2002 to 2004 during the period, with the participation of FTMTM, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Informationization", "On Electronic Digital Signature", "On Electronic Document Circulation", "On Electronic Commerce" laws were developed. in 2002 an electromagnetic compatibility analysis service was established.
