The Uzbekistan-Japan Center (UJC) was established in accordance with the agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Japan reached in October 2000. The founders of the Center are the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). UJC is a unique platform for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of business, education and culture. In 2007, a regional branch of the center was opened in Bukhara, and since 2012, the Center has begun to cooperate with the Japan Foundation in the areas of teaching the Japanese language and organizing cultural events. Over more than 20 years of activity, the Center has implemented many business programs, Japanese language programs, and cultural exchange programs. The doors of UJC are open to all who seek to improve practical knowledge and applied skills in business education, wish to study Japanese, and are interested in the culture and traditions of Japan.
